      We’re three miles from the small town of Patagonia, Arizona, (about 60 miles south of Tucson) in an area known as the Mountain Empire and designated as an “Arizona Treasure” by Governor Janet Napolitano. This beautiful landscape, which ranges up to 5,000 feet above sea level, has a rich history of mining, ranching and railroading that characterizes the “taming” of the American west. Now, our neighborhood has developed a reputation as an artist’s haven, as Arizona’s wine country, and as a place where careful stewardship of the natural surroundings is the rule.
      The Place at Harshaw Creek - If that was a favorite retreat of yours, you’ve found it again. This property was formerly operated under that name.

Directions:
Go east on I-10 to State Route 83. Turn south and go approximately 25 miles to State Route 82. Turn right (Just past mile marker 33) and follow state Route 82, 12 miles to the city limits into Patagonia . Go past the high school and cross the Sonoita Creek(Just past mile marker 20).

Turn left at the post office onto Harshaw Road . Continue east and go past the sign on your right that says “ Arizona trailhead 250 feet” and “ Coronado National Forest ”. Go over the 4th cattle guard (200 feet). At the fork in the road (About 3 miles from Patagonia ), turn left and go a quarter of a mile. The entrance to Spirit Tree Inn is on your right, with the old Cottonwood tree in the front pasture.
