Welcome Back

The Spirit Tree Inn, a Southern Arizona Bed and Breakfast, welcomes you back Back to peace and quiet. To a sky full of more stars than you can count. To a place somehow both familiar and always new. Back in time. To a truly comfortable, welcoming place where body and spirit can be refreshed and beautifully, deliciously nourished.

We offer an ideal setting, comfortable lodging accommodations, gracious hospitality and truly fine food to ease you into wonderful days, rested and nourished.

Our inviting Spirit Tree Inn sits on 52 private acres along one of Southern Arizona’s high desert creeks in the heart of the Coronado National Forest, three miles outside of the small town of Patagonia. We offer only six guest accommodations, so we do not bring you to a secluded place only to crowd you in with others. Our guest rooms and casitas are in keeping with the character of our historic buildings, which served as the headquarters of Rocking Chair Ranch more than 85 years ago – clean, unpretentious, and comfortable. Our 1830 Amish barn brought from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania adds another dimension to the property.

We are teaming up with Canelo Hills Vineyard and Winery to offer a workshop at the Vineyard on trimming the vines to insure that the vines stay healthy and bear fruit for next season's wines. It will include working in the vineyard, learning more about wine making from the wine maker himself,  wine tasting, dinner at the B & B with your hosts and a two night stay at the Spirit Tree Inn B & B with 2 gourmet breakfasts. The dates are Feb. 12 & 13 or 13 & 14, 2010. Reservations are limited and are on a first-come-first-serve basis.  We have two rooms left.

The Spirit Tree Inn was the venue for the summer concert series sponsored by the Santa Cruz Foundation for the Performing Arts. We at the Spirit Tree Inn would like to continue our own concert series in the Amish Barn. However, we have put our concerts on hold until March 2010 because, although the Amish barn is a unique venue, it is hard to heat and we want people to enjoy their experience. We will post a list of events as soon as we can.

Birders welcome! This part of Southeastern Arizona is truly a unique area where you can spend many wonderful days observing birds. Many varieties can be seen in our patio and on the property. Other unique birding areas are within a short drive. The Plain-capped Starthroat hummingbird was seen here at Spirit Tree Inn many times last summer.
